About
Cesónia da Rosa is a Piano Performance major with a minor in Musical Technology Applied Composition (TAC) at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Born in Macau S.A.R, China, she've decided to pursue music and traveled across the globe, studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Now in her fourth year of study with Dr. Yoshigazu Nagai, she has presented three public solo piano recitals, appeared three times as a representative of the SFCM piano department, and performed chamber music, including Mendelssohn’s Trio in D minor. She also co-directed a student benefit concert supporting ‘Compass Family Services’, an organization serving homeless families in San Francisco.
She is currently a piano teacher at Music City Academy, teaching both in English and Mandarin/Cantonese; a student assistant at SFCM; and developed a social media presence to connect with audiences who are curious about music. In recognition of her artistic excellence, she is a recipient of a full four-year scholarship funded by SFCM donors.
Beyond SFCM, she has participated in numerous music festivals and performed for distinguished faculty, including Shai Wosner, Jerome Lowenthal, Boris Slutsky, James Giles, and Joseph Rackers. She strongly believes in music’s healing power and is committed to sharing its positive impact.
